Nursing Home Neglect

NURSING HOME NEGLECT

Life in a nursing home facility can be fulfilling and comfortable. But for senior members of our society, maintaining good health is necessary to keep them going. Without good care and attention in the facility, life can take a sudden turn for the worse.

Simple urinary tract infection and dehydration are two of the biggest killers of nursing home patients. Ulcers of the skin form when the patients are not turned frequently enough in their beds or when their linens are not changed frequently enough. These deaths and injuries can all be prevented with a little attention to the patient. However, the nursing homes cut corners to save money. They fail to adequately staff the nursing facility and the patients don’t get the attention they need to live.

The lawyers of CBPW know the standards nursing homes must live up to when caring for patients. In Missouri, our laws provide a nursing home resident’s Bill of Rights to help ensure that our seniors get the best care and treatment available.

In our firm, we value the mothers, fathers and loved ones who need the help nursing homes are supposed to give. When care is not delivered, when standards are not met, when the Bill of Rights has been violated, we at CBPW can help.

American Red Cross

In our practice, we hear the stories our clients tell about their injuries, their surgeries and their fight to recover. We have witnessed how a natural disaster can shatter lives. Whether the need is from a natural disaster or a serious injury, blood is always in short supply. That’s why, as a firm, we regularly give blood to the American Red Cross. Our partner, John Cook has given over 10 gallons!
