Stephen grew up in Cape Girardeau before attending Murray State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He then went on to complete his Juris Doctor at the University of Missouri School of Law, and after practicing law in St. Louis for six years, Stephen returned to his hometown to practice law at Cook, Barkett, Ponder and Wolz. His hard work and commitment to excellence have not gone unnoticed, as he’s been recognized as a Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyer® for 2023 – 25, a distinction awarded to attorneys who exhibit excellence in their practice.
